Airtel Zambia has appointed Rakesh Kumar Agarwal as its new Finance Director, reinforcing its executive leadership team as the telecommunications operator continues to drive sustainable growth and strengthen its financial strategy.
In his new role, Agarwal will join Airtel Zambia’s Executive Committee, where he will oversee the company’s finance function and help shape financial strategies that support long-term business expansion, operational excellence and continued investment in digital connectivity.
Agarwal brings decades of experience in financial leadership, corporate governance and business transformation across multiple industries and international markets. His expertise spans finance strategy, operational management and business partnering, equipping him to support Airtel Zambia’s long-term growth ambitions.
Prior to joining Airtel Zambia, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer at JSW One and previously held senior finance leadership roles at Metropolis Healthcare Limited and Bharti Airtel Limited, where he supported financial management, governance and operations across Africa.
According to Airtel Zambia, the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its financial leadership as it expands digital connectivity services and delivers sustainable value to customers and stakeholders.
