Pan-African AI company Gebeya Inc. and Japan’s Matsuo Institute have launched a strategic collaboration aimed at expanding practical artificial intelligence learning and cross-border innovation between Africa and Japan.

The partnership combines Matsuo Institute’s expertise in AI education and research with Gebeya’s Dala Studio, an AI-powered platform that enables users to build digital products without traditional software development barriers. The collaboration is designed to help learners move beyond AI theory by applying their knowledge through hands-on creation.

Under the initiative, Gebeya will connect its Dala Studio community with Matsuo Institute’s Global Consumer Intelligence World Program, increasing access to global AI learning opportunities while creating practical pathways for entrepreneurs, students and innovators to develop AI-powered solutions. The collaboration will also support the Dala Ambassador Program, enabling Matsuo Institute alumni and student groups to contribute as product experts and community mentors.

According to the two organizations, the partnership reflects a shared vision of making AI education more practical and accessible while strengthening collaboration between Japan’s AI ecosystem and Africa’s growing technology community. The initiative also aims to encourage greater participation in the AI economy by empowering more people to build and innovate using AI technologies.

The collaboration highlights growing international efforts to expand AI skills, foster cross-border innovation and create more inclusive opportunities for digital creators as artificial intelligence continues to transform industries worldwide.
