Yellow Card has announced that Tranzmit Payment Services, a subsidiary of Tranzmit Corporation, has integrated Yellow Card’s Payments API to strengthen cross-border payment settlement between the United States and emerging markets.

The integration gives Tranzmit’s U.S. operations a direct settlement route abroad, starting with the USA-to-Nigeria corridor, one of the company’s largest and fastest-growing markets.

Through Yellow Card’s Payments API, Tranzmit can use U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins to facilitate settlement into local currencies. The companies say the approach is designed to reduce the delays, costs and uncertainty associated with traditional correspondent banking channels, particularly in markets where access to U.S. dollars can be constrained and currency volatility remains a challenge.

For Tranzmit, the integration is intended to make cross-border transfers faster and more predictable while improving the amount of money that reaches recipients. The partnership also expands Yellow Card’s role as payment infrastructure for companies operating across emerging markets.

Yellow Card CEO and Co-Founder Chris Maurice said the integration provides Tranzmit with a more efficient settlement option for its emerging-market operations, while Tranzmit CEO Daniel Asturias said the company is focused on making money movement simpler and more seamless through fintech technology.

The partnership comes as demand grows for faster and more reliable cross-border payment infrastructure, with stablecoin-based settlement increasingly being explored as an alternative to traditional international payment channels.

For Nigeria and other emerging markets, such integrations could support more efficient international money movement while giving global payment companies additional infrastructure for navigating local currency and settlement requirements.
