MTN Group has appointed Ikenna Ikeme as Executive for Group Regulatory Affairs, effective September 7, 2026, as part of internal leadership changes aimed at strengthening the group’s capabilities and supporting the execution of its Ambition 2030 strategy.
Ikeme currently serves as General Manager of Regulatory Affairs at MTN Nigeria and will take on responsibility for overseeing MTN Group’s regulatory agenda across its markets.
With more than 30 years of professional experience across telecommunications, banking and insurance, Ikeme brings expertise in regulatory affairs, public policy, compliance, stakeholder engagement and business transformation.
The appointment comes as telecommunications operators across Africa continue to navigate increasingly complex regulatory and policy environments, making strong regulatory leadership an important component of long-term growth and market strategy.
Through his new group-level role, Ikeme will support MTN’s engagement with regulatory developments across its operations while contributing to the broader implementation of the company’s Ambition 2030 strategy
