Terra Industries, an African autonomous security technology company, has raised new funding from existing and new investors as it expands its manufacturing operations, international presence and deployments across the Global South.

The funding round included existing investors 8VC, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital and SV Angel, alongside new investor Norleo Space Investments and angel investor Grant Gordon.

Terra plans to use the funding to establish its first international office in London, increase manufacturing capacity and expand its engineering, operations and business development teams.

Founded in 2024 by Nathan Nwachuku and Maxwell Maduka, the company develops autonomous security systems designed to help governments and infrastructure operators monitor and protect critical assets across land, air and maritime environments.

Terra said its technology is already deployed at power plants, mines and other nationally critical assets across several African countries. Its portfolio includes autonomous drones, interceptor drones, sentry towers and unmanned ground vehicles, connected through its ArtemisOS software platform.

The company is preparing to open its Pax-2 manufacturing facility in Ghana in the fourth quarter of 2026. The 34,000-square-foot facility is expected to become the largest drone manufacturing facility in Africa once fully operational, following Terra’s existing 15,000-square-foot Pax-1 factory in Abuja, Nigeria.

Pax-2 is projected to reach annual production capacity of 50,000 units across Terra’s aerial systems portfolio by 2028.

Terra said its expansion is focused on developing security technologies suited to the operational environments of Africa and other Global South markets, with applications addressing challenges including infrastructure sabotage, illegal mining, organised crime and terrorism.
