Jimmy Carter Luo, CEO of StarTimes Media Kenya, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential impact on both countries’ creative industries. He emphasized that the collaboration will foster content sharing, professional exchanges, and technological innovations between Kenyan and Chinese media entities.
Key dignitaries from both nations attended the event, including Dong Xin, Deputy Minister of the National Radio and Television Administration of China, and Timothy Owase, CEO of the Kenya Film Commission. Dong Xin expressed optimism about the future of Sino-Kenyan cooperation in the audiovisual sector, emphasizing the opportunity to deepen cultural exchange and mutual development through media and entertainment collaborations.
Prof. Edward Kisiang’ani, represented by Judith Munyinyi, highlighted the significance of content exchange between Kenya and China, underscoring its crucial role in advancing the media industry. This partnership, he noted, opens doors for enhanced cultural understanding and creative synergy.
