Cisco has appointed Ossama Eldeeb as Managing Director for Africa, placing him in charge of the company’s commercial strategy and operations across the continent as it strengthens its focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence and partner-led growth.
Eldeeb brings more than 26 years of leadership experience across the Middle East and Africa. Since joining Cisco in 2023 as Regional Director of its Partner Organisation for the Middle East and Africa, he has led initiatives focused on partner transformation, managed services expansion and regional business growth. His responsibilities were later extended to include Türkiye, Romania and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Before joining Cisco, Eldeeb held senior leadership positions at VMware, Microsoft and AMD, building extensive experience in channel development, commercial strategy and enterprise technology partnerships. His appointment reflects Cisco’s long-standing business model in Africa, where the company works closely with systems integrators, distributors, resellers and managed service providers to deliver networking infrastructure and digital solutions.
Cisco said the appointment reinforces its commitment to supporting governments, businesses and communities across Africa through trusted partnerships, secure digital infrastructure, innovation and AI-enabled technologies. The company continues to invest in initiatives including the Cisco Networking Academy, Country Digital Acceleration programmes and EDGE incubation centres that support skills development and local technology ecosystems.
The leadership appointment also reflects a broader industry trend, with global technology companies increasingly creating dedicated Africa leadership roles to accelerate regional growth, strengthen local partnerships and expand investment across the continent’s fast-growing digital economy.
