Terra Industries has partnered with Miva Open University to establish integrated robotics and drone laboratories across the university’s learning centres, beginning with a pilot facility in Abuja.
The initiative is designed to strengthen technology-focused education by giving students practical engineering experience alongside their academic studies. Under the partnership, students will gain hands-on experience in designing, assembling, testing and flying drones, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering applications.
In addition to student training, Terra Industries will deliver practical workshops, train university faculty members and provide internship and employment opportunities for outstanding students. The company said top-performing participants will be considered for internship placements and potential job opportunities, creating a pathway from education to industry.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing Africa’s engineering talent through experiential learning while equipping graduates with skills in robotics and drone technologies that are increasingly in demand across industrial and technology sectors.
