Saviynt has appointed cybersecurity executive Kamel Heus as Vice President of Sales for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), including Turkey, as the identity security company expands its regional operations.
Based in Dubai, Heus will oversee Saviynt’s sales activities across the region, covering new business, customer renewals and expansion. His responsibilities will also include strengthening the company’s channel strategy, partner ecosystem and local go-to-market team.
The appointment comes as organisations across the Middle East and Africa accelerate cloud adoption and the use of artificial intelligence, increasing the need for stronger identity and access security. One of Heus’ immediate priorities will be expanding Saviynt’s presence in Saudi Arabia and developing local hosting capabilities to address data residency and in-region delivery requirements.
Heus brings 20 years of enterprise cybersecurity sales experience across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Before joining Saviynt, he served as Vice President, EMEA at Thales, where he led its Identity and Access Management business across the region. He has also held senior roles at Centrify, now part of Delinea, and Sophos.
Saviynt Chief Commercial Officer Pete Angstadt said the MEA region represents a significant growth opportunity as organisations accelerate digital transformation and increasingly use AI to transform their operations. He added that Heus’ regional experience and understanding of customers and partners will support the company’s expansion.
Heus said his priorities will include strengthening Saviynt’s local presence, expanding its regional partner network and helping organisations securely manage access for both employees and AI systems.
The appointment also comes as enterprise AI agents increasingly gain access to applications and business data. This is expanding identity security beyond traditional human users to include machine and AI-driven identities.
Saviynt’s platform provides capabilities for managing these identities and controlling their access to enterprise resources, positioning identity security as an increasingly important component of AI adoption across the MEA market.
Heus holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computing from Université Grenoble Alpes in France.
