Mozambique is exploring a potential strategic partnership with SpaceX as part of its efforts to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen the country’s digital economy.
The discussions, held between Mozambique’s Minister of Economy, Basilio Muhate, and representatives of SpaceX, focused on expanding digital connectivity, strengthening digital infrastructure and creating an enabling environment for investment, innovation and private sector growth.
The two sides also explored opportunities to improve connectivity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which the government sees as a key driver of economic growth and digital inclusion.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the proposed collaboration aligns with Mozambique’s broader strategy of leveraging international partnerships to accelerate technological innovation, attract investment and enhance the country’s competitiveness in the digital economy.
The engagement reflects Mozambique’s continued efforts to position itself as an attractive destination for digital investment while advancing sustainable economic growth through improved connectivity and technology-driven development.
