Time Out South Africa has announced the appointment of Aisha Mohamed as Managing Director, tasked with leading the company’s strategic direction and guiding its next phase of growth across South Africa. Mohamed’s leadership will focus on expanding the brand’s presence in major urban centers, strengthening commercial partnerships, and enhancing audience engagement.

Launched in early 2025 in partnership with Kagiso Connect, Time Out South Africa currently operates in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with plans to expand to additional cities. The global Time Out brand is known for inspiring people to explore and experience the best of urban culture, and Mohamed’s appointment signals a strong commitment to growing its influence and cultural relevance in the local market.

Aisha Mohamed brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience across media, entertainment, broadcasting, and marketing. Her career spans roles at Sony Music Entertainment Africa, SABC TV, 5FM, and Viacom, where she led transformative audience growth strategies, digital transformation initiatives, and commercial partnerships, while managing large teams and budgets. Her expertise lies at the intersection of culture, creativity, and commerce, driving commercially sustainable, culturally relevant platforms.
