Colis.ma, a Moroccan cross-border logistics startup, has successfully secured $300,000 in pre-seed funding from Witamax, a private-backed venture capital firm. This financial backing will empower Colis.ma to solidify its presence across Morocco’s five largest regions and expand its operations into six European countries, with plans to further penetrate the West African market. The startup is also eyeing a subsequent fundraising round slated for early 2026, aimed at capturing additional market share within the logistics sector.

Founded by CEO Issam Darui in 2022, Colis.ma has quickly made a mark in the logistics industry, claiming to have delivered over 50,000 parcels to more than 55 destinations across six European countries. The company has experienced remarkable growth, achieving a fivefold increase in operations over the past year and reporting a staggering 380% rise in Annual Recurring Revenue in 2023. These accomplishments underscore Colis.ma’s potential as a major player in the logistics space.

The startup primarily serves individuals with familial connections between Morocco and Europe, as well as small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in sectors such as cosmetics, artisanal goods, and organic products. Colis.ma aims to broaden its network by connecting more SMEs from diverse sectors to their clients in Europe, thereby enhancing the logistics landscape for businesses in the region.

To optimize its operations and elevate service quality, Colis.ma collaborates with several strategic partners. CEO Issam Darui emphasized that the new funding will enable the company to extend its geographic reach and improve the quality of its offerings. “Our goal is to become a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, offering innovative technological solutions to a sector undergoing transformation,” Darui stated.

Prior to securing the recent $300,000 investment, Colis.ma raised $50,000 from African investor The Baobab Network after joining their accelerator program and also won a $45,000 grant in February 2024. This sequence of funding highlights the growing confidence investors have in the startup’s potential to innovate within the logistics sector.

Colis.ma is not alone in the competitive Moroccan logistics market. Logidoo, another logistics startup operating since 2019, recently raised $1.55 million in seed funding to scale its services and enhance its market position. With these developments, both startups are contributing to the transformation of logistics in Morocco and beyond, leveraging innovative solutions to simplify operations and improve service delivery.
