In collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, the non-profit organization Injini has initiated the application process for the 2024 EdTech Accelerator Programme. This program, launched recently, is designed to support local EdTech startups by offering them a range of benefits, including direct grant funding, product quality evaluation, intensive skill development, coaching, mentorship, market research, and access to resources. It aims to foster innovation and growth within the EdTech sector by providing tailored support to eligible startups.
EdTech companies play a crucial role in developing technology to enhance the learning experience. Injini reports that the cohort of startups that participated in the 2023 programme made significant strides, reaching over 1.9 million new learners during the acceleration period. For the 2024 programme, participants can anticipate additional benefits such as pedagogical evaluation and certification by renowned organizations like EdTech Impact and Education Alliance Finland. Moreover, the program offers customized market research support and access to external consultants for training and guidance.
Krista Davidson, the executive director of Injini, highlights the organization’s expertise in providing EdTech acceleration support, which has been pivotal to the success of its previous initiatives. Similarly, Joseph Nsengimana, the director of the Mastercard Foundation Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning, emphasizes the significance of the fellowship in aiding South African EdTech companies. Eligible EdTech firms are encouraged to explore the programme details and submit their applications before the deadline on February 13, 2024, to avail themselves of this valuable opportunity for mentorship, networking, and resource enhancement.
