Zamtel has supported the 2026 JETS and TETS Fair, bringing together young innovators from across Zambia to showcase technology, science and STEM-based solutions.

The event provided a platform for learners at different stages of education to demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving abilities and practical application of STEM skills. Participants ranged from early childhood learners as young as five years old to students in tertiary institutions.

Speaking at the fair, Guest of Honour Dr. Kelvin Mambwe, Permanent Secretary for Educational Services, represented by Acting Director of Curriculum Development Petronella Malungisa, commended the innovations presented by participating learners.

The projects showcased at the event reflected the principles of Zambia’s Competence-Based Curriculum, which emphasises practical skills, competencies and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world challenges.

Through its support, Zamtel highlighted its role as a digital enabler and its commitment to nurturing young talent and encouraging innovation. The telecommunications company said initiatives such as the JETS and TETS Fair provide learners with opportunities to explore STEM disciplines while developing practical problem-solving skills.

The fair also demonstrates the role of technology and education initiatives in preparing young people to contribute to Zambia’s future digital and innovation economy.
