Algerian telecommunications operator Djezzy has signed a framework agreement with the Union Générale des Commerçants et Artisans Algériens (UGCAA) to support the digital transformation of traders and artisans across Algeria.
The partnership is aimed at helping vendors, traders and business owners adopt digital solutions while contributing to the development of Algeria’s wider business ecosystem.
Through the agreement, Djezzy will strengthen its support for economic stakeholders and contribute to broader national digitalisation efforts. The collaboration is expected to provide greater opportunities for traders and artisans to integrate digital tools into their activities as Algeria’s economy becomes increasingly connected.
The partnership forms part of Djezzy’s wider efforts to promote digital innovation and support the development of a more connected business environment.
By working with UGCAA, Djezzy is positioning its telecommunications and digital capabilities to support commercial stakeholders as they adapt to changing customer expectations, new technologies and an increasingly digital economy.
Supporting Algeria’s business community
Traders and artisans play an important role in Algeria’s commercial ecosystem, and greater access to digital solutions can help businesses improve how they communicate with customers, manage operations and participate in digital markets.
The agreement between Djezzy and UGCAA is intended to strengthen the connection between the telecommunications sector and Algeria’s business community, creating a framework for supporting digital adoption among commercial stakeholders.
The collaboration also reflects the growing role of digital technologies in enabling businesses to remain competitive and connected.
Djezzy said its partnership with UGCAA contributes to the country’s broader digitalisation agenda while reinforcing its commitment to supporting economic stakeholders.
Djezzy supports UGCAA anniversary
Djezzy also served as an official sponsor of UGCAA’s 70th anniversary celebration, held at the CIC in Algiers.
The operator said its participation in the anniversary further demonstrates its commitment to Algeria’s business community and to supporting the digitalisation of commercial activities.
The framework agreement and anniversary sponsorship highlight Djezzy’s continued engagement with traders, artisans and other economic stakeholders as Algeria advances its digital transformation.
