Morocco and India are exploring deeper cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, digital public infrastructure and digital skills as both countries seek to turn their growing technology ties into practical initiatives.
The discussions took place on August 24, 2026, in Rabat, where Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, met with India’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology, Jitin Prasada.
A key outcome was an agreement to establish a joint commission focusing initially on language technologies and their potential to improve interactions between citizens and government administrations. The proposed solutions could support multiple languages, language variants and dialects, helping make digital public services more accessible across diverse communities.
The two sides also discussed cooperation around the JAZARI Institutes and their work in artificial intelligence, building on an earlier meeting between the officials in New Delhi in February 2026 during the AI Impact Summit.
The engagement highlights Morocco and India’s efforts to translate digital cooperation into concrete partnerships spanning AI, digital public infrastructure, language technologies and digital talent development.
