The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, officially swore in Prof. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako, an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Ghana Business School, and Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, Chairman of the Hajj Board and former Member of Parliament for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency, as members of the Governing Board.

The appointments fill vacancies created following the passing of two former board members and are expected to strengthen the board’s expertise in providing strategic leadership and governance for the National Communications Authority.

According to the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the enhanced Governing Board will continue guiding the Authority in delivering effective regulation, supporting Ghana’s digital transformation agenda and promoting the sustainable growth of the telecommunications and digital technology sectors.

As Ghana continues to expand digital infrastructure, connectivity and innovation, strong institutional leadership remains essential to creating a resilient regulatory environment that encourages investment, protects consumers and accelerates the country’s digital economy ambitions.
