Submer and Edgecore Networks have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore AI-ready data centre infrastructure opportunities across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META).
The strategic collaboration brings together complementary capabilities across critical layers of the AI infrastructure stack. Submer provides advisory and consultancy, data centre design and build, IT integration, power infrastructure and advanced thermal management, while Edgecore Networks contributes open, high-performance networking solutions covering AI/ML switches, data centre networking, optical networking and disaggregated infrastructure.
The partnership comes as accelerating AI adoption across META is creating more demanding infrastructure requirements. The deployment of GPU-intensive workloads is increasing rack densities, power consumption and thermal loads, while sovereign AI initiatives are driving demand for scalable, resilient and locally deployable infrastructure.
As AI infrastructure becomes more complex, designing facility, power, cooling, compute and networking as separate components can create integration challenges. The collaboration between Submer and Edgecore is intended to bring these infrastructure capabilities together earlier in the planning and deployment process.
Bringing AI infrastructure layers together
Under the MoU, the two companies will explore joint solution development, customer opportunities and go-to-market initiatives across META.
The collaboration will focus on integrated AI infrastructure design, combining Submer’s facility, power and thermal engineering capabilities with Edgecore’s high-performance networking infrastructure for high-density AI and high-performance computing environments.
The companies will also explore networking and IT integration, connecting networking infrastructure with compute, monitoring and other critical systems to simplify deployment and operational management.
Advanced thermal management will be another key area, with Submer’s technology addressing the increasing cooling requirements associated with dense GPU and AI environments.
Joint solution development will examine architectures that align networking, power, cooling and facility requirements from the earliest stages of infrastructure planning.
The companies also plan to pursue regional go-to-market opportunities with enterprises, data centre operators, service providers and organisations investing in sovereign and enterprise AI infrastructure.
Customer deployment support will help organisations move from infrastructure planning and design towards operational AI-ready environments through a more coordinated approach.
By bringing these disciplines together, the partnership aims to reduce integration complexity, improve deployment readiness and provide organisations with a clearer path from AI infrastructure design to operational capacity.
