RSwitch has taken its digital financial inclusion campaign, #TwagiyeKashiresi, directly to communities in Kigali, engaging residents and businesses in Nyabugogo and Gisozi Agakiriro.
The two-day outreach focused on helping people understand and adopt digital financial services through demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions and on-the-spot opening of merchant and personal accounts.
The campaign promotes the use of eKash, which connects banks and mobile money providers to support easier and more secure digital money transfers.
The initiative also gives businesses and individuals an opportunity to learn how digital payments work and build confidence in moving away from cash-based transactions.
The campaign brings together the National Bank of Rwanda, Ministry of ICT & Innovation, Rwanda ICT Chamber, RSwitch, banks, mobile money operators and other financial sector stakeholders.
