Open Access Data Centres (OADC) has strengthened its commitment to developing Nigeria’s next generation of technology professionals by supporting the launch of the Tech and Coding Club at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The initiative is designed to equip students with practical coding and digital technology skills that prepare them for careers in the rapidly evolving technology sector while bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements.
The launch also marked the inauguration of Dr. Ayotunde (Tunde) Coker as the club’s patron, highlighting the role of industry leaders in mentoring young innovators and fostering stronger collaboration between academia and the technology ecosystem.
According to OADC, the Tech and Coding Club will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities that encourage innovation, problem-solving and the development of digital solutions capable of addressing local and global challenges.
The company believes initiatives such as this are essential to building a skilled digital workforce, empowering young people with future-ready capabilities and supporting Nigeria’s broader digital transformation agenda.Open
