Adobe has announced a game-changing development for mobile creators: the rollout of a brand-new Premiere app for iPhone users starting September 30, 2025. Available for free on the App Store, this release opens access to professional-grade video editing tools without a price tag, setting a new benchmark for mobile video production. The move positions Adobe Premiere as the go-to app for content creators who demand pro-level editing on the move.

The launch signals the end of Adobe Premiere Rush, which will be removed from the App Store upon Premiere’s debut. However, existing Rush users will still have access to the app until September 2026. The new Premiere app, tailored for creators who publish on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, offers desktop-class functionality designed specifically for fast-paced, social-first editing.

Premiere on iPhone is packed with powerful features. Users will have access to multi-track editing with unlimited video, audio, and text layers, precise frame-accurate trimming, and full 4K HDR video support. The app also includes automatic captions, styled subtitles, and one-tap smart resizing optimized for social platforms. Importantly, Adobe confirmed there will be no ads or watermarks, ensuring a professional and distraction-free editing experience.

A standout addition is the integration of Adobe Firefly AI, enhancing creative possibilities for users. With Firefly, creators can generate images, sound effects, and video assets, while tools like Enhance Speech allow quick audio fixes with a single tap. AI-powered templates, transitions, and creative assets further elevate the editing process. While some AI features may require credits or subscriptions, Adobe has committed to keeping the core editing functions completely free.

The app has also been designed with multi-device workflows in mind. Projects started on iPhone can be seamlessly transferred and completed in Premiere Pro on desktop, making it ideal for creators balancing quick edits on mobile and more complex projects on larger screens. This flexibility ensures creators can work efficiently without compromising on quality.

For now, Premiere’s mobile launch will be exclusive to iPhone, with an Android version currently in development but without a confirmed timeline. By introducing Premiere on iPhone for free, Adobe is not only empowering the global creator community but also raising the standard for what mobile video editing should look like in the digital age.
