With each hub handling an estimated 400-500 daily transactions, this initiative is set to make a meaningful impact on accessibility and convenience for electric motorcycle users in Kenya.
Currently operating five hubs in Nairobi, Roam plans to scale its network strategically to urban and peri-urban areas. By integrating solar charging into its infrastructure, Roam is not only offering cost savings for users but also contributing to a cleaner, more efficient urban transportation system.
A standout feature of this initiative is the open architecture design of Roam’s charging stations, which ensures interoperability between different electric vehicle manufacturers. This innovation removes a critical barrier to electric vehicle adoption, allowing riders to charge their motorcycles at multiple locations and speeds, promoting a seamless user experience.
