Airtel Rwanda has partnered with the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), through its Cyber Hub, to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and develop practical digital skills among young Rwandans under its Future Path Programme.
The initiative aims to equip young people with the cybersecurity knowledge and digital competencies needed to participate in Rwanda’s growing digital economy. Through the collaboration, Airtel Rwanda and NCSA will support capacity building and practical skills development, helping young people navigate the digital environment and contribute to a more secure digital ecosystem.
Sujay Chakrabarti, managing director of Airtel Rwanda, said investing in people was essential to building a digitally empowered and resilient nation.
“Through our Future Path Programme, we are proud to partner with NCSA through the Cyber Hub to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities, develop practical digital skills, and equip young Rwandans with the tools to thrive in the digital economy,” Chakrabarti said.
The partnership aligns with Rwanda’s broader digital transformation agenda, as cybersecurity knowledge and digital competencies become increasingly important to participation in the digital economy. By focusing on young people, the initiative seeks to support the development of skills that can help strengthen digital awareness and security across the country.
The collaboration also reflects Airtel Rwanda’s efforts to contribute to digital skills development and cybersecurity awareness. However, the announcement did not disclose the expected number of participants, programme duration or training schedule.
