Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S24 FE, updating its flagship S24 lineup in the country. This new addition brings several enhancements compared to the previous S23 FE model, particularly in terms of display and chipset. Positioned closely to the S24 Plus, the S24 FE retains a premium feel while offering features that cater to both everyday users and tech enthusiasts alike.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy S24 FE is its impressive 6.7-inch Dynamic OLED 2X screen, which boasts a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with HDR10+ support. While it lacks the LTPO technology found in the S24 Plus, the screen achieves a remarkable peak brightness of 1900 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use. The design includes a matte aluminum frame and protective glass on both the front and back, ensuring durability while maintaining a sleek aesthetic.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S24 FE is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400e chipset, which is slightly underclocked compared to the standard Exynos 2400. Paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, this device provides a smooth user experience, with Android 14 and OneUI 6.1 pre-installed. Notably, Samsung promises an impressive 7 years of software support, ensuring users stay updated with the latest Android OS upgrades and security patches.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The 10MP front-facing camera offers excellent selfies, and the device can record videos at 8K 30fps, surpassing its predecessor’s 24fps capability. These camera features cater to users looking for high-quality photography and videography.

The Galaxy S24 FE is equipped with a robust 4700mAh battery, supporting 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. This battery capacity exceeds that of the S23 FE by 200mAh while being slightly smaller than the S24 Plus’ 4900mAh battery. With just 30 minutes of charging, users can reach up to 50% battery life, making it convenient for on-the-go lifestyles.

Available in muted Yellow, Mint, and Graphite colors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is priced starting from Ksh 91,000. For a limited time, Samsung is bundling the Galaxy Buds with the device in a launch offer, priced at Ksh 101,000. This offering reflects Samsung’s commitment to delivering value to customers while enhancing their overall user experience with its flagship devices.
