RUBiS Energie has announced the appointment of Olivier Sabrié as the new CEO for East Africa and Group Managing Director of RUBiS Energy Kenya. Sabrié, who succeeds Jean-Christian Bergeron, brings extensive experience to the role from his recent position as Chairman and Managing Director & VP South Asia at Total Energies Marketing India Private Ltd.
Jean-Christian Bergeron, who has been instrumental since RUBiS Energy’s entry into the East African market in 2019, will be returning to Paris for a new assignment. During his tenure, Bergeron was pivotal in expanding RUBiS’ presence across Kenya and East Africa, leading key initiatives such as rebranding fuel stations, launching Ultratech fuel technology, and introducing value-added services including the RUBiS App and RUBiS Card.
Olivier Sabrié’s extensive background includes leadership roles across various African countries, as well as in France, Pakistan, and India. His experience at Total Energies has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and expertise that he will leverage to continue driving RUBiS Energy Kenya’s mission forward.
Sabrié is focused on building upon Bergeron’s impressive legacy and enhancing the customer experience at RUBiS Energy Kenya. Under his leadership, the company aims to further its mission of providing top-quality services and innovative solutions in the fuel and energy sector.
In 2023, RUBiS Energy Kenya expanded its offerings by entering into an exclusive distribution agreement with Castrol for lubricants, enhancing its service capabilities across nearly 300 fuel stations nationwide. This move underscores RUBiS Energy’s commitment to providing comprehensive and high-quality services to its customers.
