LG Electronics is set to train 37,000 individuals globally on its advanced Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in 2024. This initiative aims to build a robust network of skilled installation and service engineers to support the management of LG equipment, reflecting the brand’s increasing global popularity and commitment to high-quality service.

The LG HVAC Academy operates in 62 locations worldwide, providing comprehensive training on the installation and maintenance of LG’s residential and commercial HVAC systems, including high-efficiency chillers. This global training network is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of LG’s advanced HVAC solutions, which are renowned for their efficiency and reliability.

In Kenya, the LG HVAC Academy collaborates with the University of Nairobi to enhance the skills and knowledge of local technicians. The academy equips them to deliver differentiated customer experiences by ensuring the optimal set-up and performance of LG’s cutting-edge HVAC solutions. This partnership highlights LG’s commitment to local capacity building and technical excellence.

The Nairobi LG HVAC Academy features an integrated showroom and training rooms where participants gain hands-on experience with LG’s products. The academy offers training on product installation and maintenance, introduces new HVAC solutions, and provides specialized regional training programs, technical forums, and customized on-site classes at clients’ offices. This comprehensive approach ensures technicians are well-prepared to meet diverse customer needs.

James Lee, head of the Air Solution Business Unit at LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, emphasized the importance of the LG HVAC Academy in enhancing regional engineering capabilities. He noted that LG will continue to increase customer engagement to deliver more value and drive its global HVAC business forward, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

As LG targets continued growth in the global HVAC market, valued at approximately USD 58.4 billion in 2023, the company focuses on high-efficiency heat pump HVAC systems designed with the latest electrification and environmental trends in mind. LG aims to more than double its HVAC business revenue by 2030, solidifying its position as a worldwide leader in air conditioning solutions.
