Kenya Airways (KQ) soars to new heights as it adds 598 employees, marking its second consecutive year of expanding its workforce. This remarkable achievement signifies the airline’s resilience and commitment to bouncing back stronger from the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

With a total headcount of 4,828 by December 2023, KQ has not only surpassed its pre-pandemic levels but also demonstrates its dedication to restoring jobs lost during the height of the crisis. This hiring spree, coupled with 514 new recruits in 2022, showcases a commendable addition of 1,112 employees over the past two years.

Majority of the hiring has been in management and administration, reflecting the airline’s strategic focus on strengthening its operational backbone. Moreover, with significant recruitment across ground services, flight operations, and technical roles, KQ is gearing up to meet the growing demands of the aviation industry as global travel gradually resumes.

As KQ expands its capacity and resumes flights to key destinations, it not only rejuvenates its operations but also contributes to the economic recovery of the regions it serves. Join us in celebrating this milestone as Kenya Airways continues to soar to greater heights!
