Joel Busienei, a seasoned IT banking expert, joins Consolidated Bank of Kenya as Head of ICT, leading the bank’s digital transformation journey.
With over 19 years of experience in various IT leadership roles within the banking sector, including positions at Equity Bank Limited, NCBA Group, and Commercial Bank of Africa, Busienei brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He has spearheaded key digital initiatives that directly impact customers, such as designing core banking platforms, infrastructure upgrades, and network integrations.
At Equity Bank Limited, Busienei played a pivotal role in designing the bank’s core banking platform and infrastructure upgrade, as well as leading the infrastructure architecture for the merger between NIC and CBA in 2019. His contributions have consistently driven innovation and enhanced customer experience across multiple banking platforms.
Now, as Head of ICT at Consolidated Bank of Kenya, Busienei is poised to lead the bank’s ICT strategy, ensuring the implementation of robust IT infrastructure and systems to support the bank’s objectives and drive transformative digital experiences for customers.
