Former CEO of Vodafone Egypt, Hatem Dowidar, has been appointed as a non-executive director on the Vodafone Group board.
With over 30 years of experience in international corporations, including 24 years in telecommunications, Dowidar brings extensive industry knowledge to his new role. During his tenure as CEO of Vodafone Egypt from 2009 to 2014, he demonstrated exceptional leadership in steering business growth amidst challenging and competitive environments.
Vodafone Group’s strategic partnership with Emirates Telecommunications Group (e&) has led to Dowidar’s appointment to the board, pending regulatory approvals. His wealth of experience across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe positions him as a valuable addition to the board.
Dowidar expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the board and support the strategic initiatives led by Vodafone Group CEO Margherita Della Valle and the management team.
