Airtel Seychelles has donated specially configured laptops valued at more than SCR 150,000 to the Office of the First Lady to support the digital learning component of the Boys Connect initiative.
The contribution is intended to improve participants’ access to technology and strengthen digital skills among boys taking part in the programme. Led by Seychelles’ First Lady, Veronique Herminie, Boys Connect targets boys aged between 13 and 17.
The initiative combines technology-based learning with mentorship, leadership development and life skills training. Its digital learning component covers areas such as digital literacy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity awareness, online safety and responsible technology use.
Through the donated laptops, participants are expected to gain greater access to digital tools and learning resources, providing opportunities to develop practical technology skills.
Airtel Seychelles said the contribution reflects its commitment to digital inclusion, education and youth empowerment. The company added that supporting programmes that equip young people with relevant skills and opportunities contributes to Seychelles’ national development priorities.
The donation forms part of the wider effort to prepare young people to engage more confidently and responsibly with technology while developing skills relevant to an increasingly digital environment.
