Down To Earth Technologies (DTE) has appointed Shaffy Muhizi as Country Director for Rwanda as the company looks to strengthen its regional leadership and expand its presence in the country.
Muhizi brings more than 10 years of experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, with expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, digital transformation and the delivery of complex enterprise technology projects.
Before joining DTE, he held senior leadership positions at Broadband Systems Corporation (BSC), where he worked with government institutions and enterprise customers and managed ICT programmes across several sectors.
DTE also highlighted Muhizi’s experience in developing technology partner ecosystems. During his career, he worked with global technology vendors to establish strategic alliances and develop solutions for customers.
Muhizi holds an MBA in Project Management from Oklahoma Christian University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Greenwich. He has also completed executive development programmes through Harvard Business School Online.
Commenting on the appointment, DTE Managing Director Vincent Milewa said Muhizi would play a key role as the company expands its presence in Rwanda.
According to Milewa, his responsibilities will include strengthening customer relationships, developing the local team and delivering technology solutions aimed at creating measurable business value.
The appointment forms part of DTE’s efforts to reinforce its leadership structure and deepen customer relationships as it continues developing its operations in Rwanda.
