Orange Côte d’Ivoire has reaffirmed its commitment to digital inclusion with the inauguration of the rehabilitated and digitally equipped headquarters of the Coordination of Associations of Disabled People of Côte d’Ivoire (CAPH CI) in Abobo Sogephia.
The inauguration ceremony, held on September 4, brought together Orange Côte d’Ivoire’s Director of Sustainable Engagement and Partnerships, Catherine Assanvo, and CAPH CI President Koné Yacouba.
As part of the initiative, Orange Côte d’Ivoire and CAPH CI signed a partnership focused on promoting greater autonomy for people with disabilities, expanding access to digital technology and supporting equal opportunities.
The rehabilitated and digitally equipped facility is intended to strengthen CAPH CI’s ability to support people with disabilities while creating greater opportunities for participation in the digital economy and society.
Orange Côte d’Ivoire said the partnership reflects its commitment to ensuring that digital technologies are accessible to everyone and that no segment of society is left behind as Côte d’Ivoire advances its digital transformation.
The initiative forms part of the telecommunications operator’s wider digital inclusion efforts, using technology and connectivity to help people with disabilities participate more fully in social and economic activities.
The partnership highlights the role of collaboration between technology companies and disability organisations in reducing digital barriers and creating a more inclusive digital environment in Côte d’Ivoire.
