hayo has expanded its East African presence with new operations in Tanzania, establishing an office in Dar es Salaam to support the development and management of critical digital infrastructure across the region.

The expansion brings hayo’s technical expertise and operational capabilities closer to governments, regulators and network operators in Tanzania. The company focuses on strengthening digital ecosystems, improving public services, safeguarding consumers and supporting national security through locally delivered infrastructure and technology solutions.

Its GovTech and telecommunications offerings include National Mobile Registries (NMR), SMS and voice firewalls, network intelligence and application programming interfaces (APIs). These technologies help governments and operators strengthen digital identity systems, protect critical networks and develop new commercial opportunities from network capabilities.

“Having dedicated teams on the ground is crucial when it comes to digital infrastructure that is critical to a country or an operator,” said Vimal Odedra, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at hayo. He added that the Tanzania expansion would help the company better understand customer priorities, respond more quickly and remain accountable for its work.

hayo combines sector data to provide organisations with clearer operational insights, supporting informed decision-making and the management of digital infrastructure. Its approach covers strategy, commercial design, deployment, operations and continuous optimisation, supported by local expertise and long-term operational responsibility.

Chief Executive Officer Feraz Ahmed said digital infrastructure was becoming increasingly important to national development, public services and economic growth. He noted that the company’s presence in Tanzania would help address local requirements and support improved outcomes for citizens, network operators and the wider economy.

Tanzania joins hayo’s growing African footprint, which includes Rwanda and Senegal, where the company expanded in the first quarter of 2026, as well as Botswana, Liberia and Malawi, added in the third quarter of 2025.

The company says it will continue investing in local teams and digital infrastructure across priority African markets to improve performance, strengthen trust and create long-term national and commercial value.
