The Airtel Africa Foundation has announced a merit-based scholarship programme supporting deserving Zambian students from low socio-economic backgrounds who are pursuing technology-related undergraduate degree programmes.
The fellowship is open to new entrants and first-year students admitted for the 2026/2027 academic year to eligible technology programmes at two participating public universities in Zambia.
To qualify, applicants must be Zambian students who completed Grade 12 in 2022 or later and achieved between 5 and 7 points at their first sitting. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and must not be receiving another scholarship or fellowship.
The Airtel Africa Foundation will cover the costs of the fellowship, while the participating universities will oversee the selection and verification of applicants.
The programme is designed to provide financial support to students pursuing technology education and help expand access to opportunities in Zambia’s technology and digital skills ecosystem.
Applications are open until 9 October 2026. Information submitted by applicants will be treated confidentially and used for eligibility assessment.
The scholarship initiative adds to efforts to support students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds while encouraging participation in technology-related fields.
