Nokia has launched Mobile Core Early Access, a live hosted environment designed to give telecommunications providers and enterprises practical access to the software powering advanced mobile connectivity in the AI era.
Available globally, the initiative aims to shorten the journey from technology awareness to informed planning, validation and adoption by allowing organisations to experience emerging mobile core capabilities in a live environment rather than relying solely on presentations or demonstrations.
As mobile networks evolve to support AI-driven services, automation and increasingly demanding enterprise applications, operators are under pressure to assess new technologies more quickly and understand their business and operational implications before making deployment decisions.
Mobile Core Early Access is designed to address this challenge by giving participants an opportunity to explore new capabilities as they become available, assess their relevance to specific business requirements and gain earlier visibility into deployment considerations.
Nokia Senior Vice President of Core Networks Kal De said the programme is intended to help operators reduce uncertainty and move more quickly from technology exploration to deployment as mobile innovation cycles accelerate.
The programme launched in June with a select group of 30 companies and is now open for registration across the wider industry.
Nokia describes Mobile Core Early Access as the first programme of its kind to provide a live, hosted, end-to-end environment for exploring mobile core capabilities and use cases alongside radios and devices.
Participants can evaluate the latest mobile core technologies in a practical environment that incorporates network functions, radios and devices. They can also examine how capabilities operate across cloud-native network functions, user interfaces and operational workflows.
The environment is intended to support technology planning and readiness by helping organisations understand deployment requirements earlier while reducing the effort involved in establishing initial testing environments.
According to Omdia Principal Analyst for Mobile Infrastructure Roberto Kompany, the programme can help address the challenge of giving operators and enterprises practical exposure to emerging core network capabilities before deployment decisions are made.
The platform includes opportunities to explore use cases involving 5G Core, automation, analytics and network exposure. As the industry moves towards AI-native core networks, the initiative is positioned as a way to reduce evaluation friction, shorten innovation cycles and increase confidence in future network investments.
For organisations requiring longer access, greater flexibility or deeper integration with their own environments, Nokia is also offering a paid option supporting more advanced evaluation, experimentation and validation.
