Ugandan businesses now have access to Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet through a new partnership between Roke Telkom and Paratus Uganda.

The two companies have launched Starlink for Business in Uganda, combining Starlink’s satellite connectivity with local deployment, customer support and business expertise from the telecommunications providers.

The partnership is aimed at giving businesses across Uganda more connectivity options, particularly organisations operating in areas where traditional terrestrial networks may be limited, unavailable or unreliable.

Starlink’s low-latency, high-speed satellite network is expected to help businesses maintain reliable internet access, support remote operations and expand their digital capabilities across multiple locations.

Roke Telkom and Paratus Uganda said the service is designed to help businesses connect and scale while maintaining operational continuity regardless of where they operate.

The launch represents a new development in Uganda’s enterprise connectivity market as satellite internet increasingly emerges as an alternative to conventional fixed and mobile broadband networks.

For businesses operating outside areas with dependable terrestrial infrastructure, the availability of Starlink for Business could provide an additional connectivity option for maintaining digital operations, accessing cloud services and supporting distributed teams.
