Uganda’s National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has renewed its partnership with Airtel Money Uganda to expand access to voluntary savings through the Smartlife Flexi service.

The renewed collaboration is aimed at making long-term savings more accessible by combining digital payment convenience with formal financial security. Through the service, more Ugandans will be able to save towards their future using their mobile phones.

NSSF said customers can access Smartlife Flexi and begin saving with as little as UGX 500, allowing users to make contributions at their convenience and from any location.

The partnership forms part of broader efforts to strengthen financial inclusion and encourage more Ugandans to participate in voluntary savings by leveraging mobile money technology.

By combining NSSF’s savings platform with Airtel Money’s digital payment infrastructure, the partners are seeking to make saving more convenient and accessible to a wider segment of the Ugandan population.
