Mastercard has appointed Yasemin Bedir as President of its Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region, effective September 1, 2026.
Bedir will succeed Dimitrios Dosis, who will move into the newly created role of Chief Commercial Payments Officer. Based in the UAE, Bedir will oversee Mastercard’s operations across the 81-country EEMEA region and join the company’s Management Committee.
She joined Mastercard in 2007 and brings nearly two decades of experience across the company’s international operations. For the past four years, she has served as Division President for Eastern Europe.
Before that, Bedir led Mastercard’s operations in Turkey and Azerbaijan and spent nearly five years overseeing relationships with community institutions and processors across North America.
Her appointment comes as Mastercard continues expanding its payments, digital commerce and financial inclusion activities across the EEMEA region, one of the company’s largest and most diverse markets.
The leadership transition will see Dosis take on a newly created commercial payments role, while Bedir assumes responsibility for Mastercard’s regional operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
