Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL) has reinforced its commitment to developing the country’s ICT talent by providing practical training on the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) to students from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT).
During a visit to TTCL headquarters, the students received hands-on exposure to the technologies, infrastructure and operational systems that power the National ICT Broadband Backbone, the country’s critical communications network that supports reliable connectivity across Tanzania.
The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice by equipping students with practical experience in national telecommunications infrastructure. Through the programme, TTCL aims to prepare future ICT professionals with the technical skills and industry knowledge required to support Tanzania’s expanding digital economy.
The training forms part of TTCL’s broader commitment to ICT capacity building and workforce development, ensuring young professionals gain real-world experience that enhances their readiness for careers in telecommunications and technology.
By investing in practical skills development and industry collaboration, TTCL continues to play a key role in nurturing the next generation of ICT professionals while supporting Tanzania’s long-term digital transformation agenda.
