Britam Uganda and Airtel Money Uganda have partnered to expand access to insurance, investment and other inclusive financial services through mobile technology, making regulated financial solutions more accessible to customers across Uganda.
The collaboration, launched under the Insurance Ku Ssimu campaign, is designed to reduce barriers to financial protection by simplifying access to insurance and investment products. By combining Airtel Money Uganda’s nationwide digital platform and agent network with Britam Uganda’s insurance and asset management expertise, the partnership aims to deliver secure, convenient and mobile-first financial services while maintaining regulatory compliance and consumer protection.
As the first offering under the partnership, customers can now purchase Motor Third Party Insurance directly through Airtel Money by dialling 185761#, entering their vehicle details and completing payment securely using their Airtel Money PIN. Customers receive instant SMS confirmation and can access their digital insurance sticker online, eliminating paperwork and the need to visit physical offices.
Britam Uganda said the partnership reflects its commitment to increasing financial inclusion by making insurance and investment services more affordable, accessible and convenient through digital technology. The collaboration also supports broader efforts to expand access to formal financial services and promote greater financial security for individuals across Uganda.
