The Bosun Tijani Foundation has opened applications for the second cohort of its Gen AI Fellowship, a six-month programme designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills in building generative AI applications.
The fellowship focuses on hands-on projects, mentorship and real-world problem-solving, helping participants transition from simply using AI tools to developing AI-powered products and solutions. Applications for the 2026 cohort close on July 31.
Building on the success of its inaugural programme, which trained more than 80 fellows in 2025, the initiative reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s AI talent pipeline and preparing young innovators for opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The programme complements Nigeria’s broader efforts to expand artificial intelligence capabilities through initiatives such as the National AI Strategy and the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme by developing deeper technical expertise in generative AI.
