Accenture has announced an agreement to acquire Ookla, a global leader in network intelligence, benchmarking, and customer experience analytics. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Accenture’s capabilities in enterprise connectivity, leveraging data and AI to help clients optimize mission-critical Wi-Fi and 5G networks that support digital operations worldwide.

The deal will integrate Ookla’s suite of platforms, including Speedtest®, Downdetector®, Ekahau®, and RootMetrics®, providing communications service providers, hyperscalers, and enterprises with actionable insights to enhance network performance, reliability, and user experience. These tools enable CSPs to optimize infrastructure investments, reduce operational costs, and support autonomous networks, while enterprises can design and troubleshoot private networks using advanced analytics and RF measurement capabilities.

Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, emphasized that modern networks have become business-critical platforms. She highlighted that without accurate measurement and insights, organizations cannot optimize customer experience, revenue, or security. Through the Ookla acquisition, Accenture aims to help clients scale AI safely while building trusted data foundations for seamless, high-performance connectivity that drives tangible business value.

Ookla, headquartered in Seattle and a division of Ziff Davis, operates globally recognized network data platforms and employs approximately 430 experts in software engineering, radio frequency engineering, and data science. Its technology captures extensive network attributes, performing over 250 million consumer-initiated tests monthly alongside controlled drive, walk, and embedded testing, delivering QoS, RF signal, and QoE insights to improve business outcomes across industries.

Manish Sharma, Chief Strategy and Services Officer at Accenture, noted that combining Accenture’s expertise with Ookla’s portfolio allows the firm to offer end-to-end network intelligence services essential for AI-based transformation. The partnership will empower enterprises to deliver low-latency, zero-friction connectivity and redefine how the world measures, understands, and experiences digital networks, creating better-connected experiences globally.
