Eutelsat has announced the appointment of Sébastien Rouge as its new Chief Financial Officer and member of the Group’s Executive Committee, effective February 1, 2026. He will serve under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Jean-François Fallacher. This strategic appointment reinforces Eutelsat’s focus on financial resilience, operational excellence, and long-term strategic growth as it continues to evolve as a leading global satellite communications company.
Bringing over 30 years of international financial leadership experience, Sébastien Rouge has built a distinguished career across technology-driven and industrial sectors, where he has consistently combined execution focus with strategic foresight. His extensive background in managing complex financial operations and driving digital transformation makes him a key addition to Eutelsat’s executive team during a crucial phase of its growth journey.
Prior to joining Eutelsat, Sébastien served as Chief Financial Officer at Imerys, where he played an instrumental role in enhancing financial performance and supporting the company’s digital transformation. Before that, he held several senior roles at leading industrial groups, including CFO of Soitec, a global semiconductor materials leader. At Alstom, he served in multiple senior finance positions, including Senior Vice President Finance at Alstom Power. He later joined General Electric following its acquisition of Alstom’s energy business, where he was appointed CEO of the GE-Alstom Nuclear Systems joint venture and CFO of Steam Power Systems within GE Power.
A graduate of EDHEC Business School, Sébastien Rouge succeeds Christophe Caudrelier, who steps down after three years of impactful service. Christophe played a vital role in Eutelsat’s telecom pivot and the successful merger with OneWeb, strengthening the Group’s financial foundations amid a major strategic transformation. He will work closely with Sébastien to ensure a seamless transition and maintain continuity during this leadership change.
