Madica has taken a strategic leap in advancing Africa’s innovation landscape through its latest investment in two AI-powered startups from North Africa, expanding its mission to foster inclusive growth within underserved tech ecosystems. The selected startups, Anavid from Tunisia and Hypeo AI from Morocco, will receive up to $200,000 in funding and enter Madica’s intensive 18-month acceleration program designed to provide comprehensive support for early-stage founders. This initiative underscores Madica’s dedication to empowering visionary entrepreneurs whose potential is often overlooked by traditional venture funding pathways.
Through this program, the startups will gain access to global investor networks, executive coaching, mentorship, and two fully-funded international immersion trips that will expose them to competitive technology markets. Madica’s curriculum is crafted to address common barriers faced by emerging founders, including limited access to capital, insufficient mentorship, and investor scarcity, ensuring the startups are equipped for long-term success and sustainability.
A core component of this initiative is Madica’s commitment to democratizing access to venture capital by supporting under-represented founders and start-ups from historically underserved regions. By doing so, the program seeks to break the cycle of funding concentration in a few markets and instead promote more equitable innovation and wealth creation across the African continent. This strategic approach not only drives economic growth but ensures that transformational ideas from overlooked regions are brought to the forefront of global innovation.
The partnership with the African Business Angel Network further strengthens the ecosystem by increasing the flow of investment opportunities and building robust support networks for portfolio companies. This collaboration enhances the startups’ capacity to scale, innovate, and connect with global markets while maintaining competitive relevance in their respective sectors.
With this expansion, Madica reinforces its belief that Africa’s most impactful technological solutions are already being created by founders on the continent. By backing companies like Anavid and Hypeo AI, Madica is laying the foundation for a future where African innovation drives global change, empowering communities and redefining digital industries across borders.
