Liquid Intelligent Technologies has reinforced its commitment to Rwanda’s journey of remembrance and healing by donating \$100,000 (RWF131 million) to the Imbuto Foundation. The contribution is part of the company’s long-term pledge to support the preservation of historical records and the strengthening of memorial infrastructure dedicated to honouring the memory of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. This initiative underscores Liquid’s alignment with Rwanda’s efforts to ensure history is preserved for generations to come.

The Imbuto Foundation, founded by Rwanda’s First Lady, Jeannette Kagame, works in collaboration with the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement to safeguard Rwanda’s heritage. Liquid’s annual support forms part of a \$1 million, ten-year commitment aimed at ensuring that genocide memorials across the country have the technological resources needed to preserve evidence, artifacts, and authentic historical records. This contribution is not only financial but also deeply symbolic of the company’s role in supporting national healing and resilience.

The donation will fund critical technology-driven preservation efforts, including the documentation and digitisation of historical records. This ensures that Rwandans and international visitors alike can access an authentic account of the past, fostering education, remembrance, and collective understanding. By integrating modern digital tools with memorial infrastructure, Liquid is helping to ensure that Rwanda’s tragic history remains accurately documented and accessible to future generations.

Beyond its commitment to memorialisation, Liquid continues to play an active role in Rwanda’s broader vision of inclusive transformation. The company has introduced free public Internet access in various locations across the country, contributing to digital inclusivity and social development. These initiatives reflect a dual commitment to both Rwanda’s past and its future—honouring history while enabling progress.

Sam Nkusi, executive chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Rwanda, emphasized that safeguarding memory is central to national resilience. He stated that beyond building Africa’s digital future, Liquid takes pride in supporting communities in ways that strengthen heritage and identity. His remarks highlight the company’s belief that technology can serve as both a bridge to innovation and a guardian of history.

Through this partnership with the Imbuto Foundation, Liquid Intelligent Technologies continues to demonstrate how private sector leadership can align with national priorities. By investing in remembrance, education, and digital inclusion, the company reinforces its place as a trusted partner in Rwanda’s ongoing journey of healing, resilience, and transformation.
