OpenAI has unveiled GPT-4.5, its latest AI model, in a research preview for Pro users and developers worldwide. This cutting-edge model introduces significant advancements in pattern recognition, creative insight generation, and emotional intelligence, making interactions feel more natural and intuitive. The company has also emphasized improvements in understanding user intent, making GPT-4.5 a more reliable assistant for writing, programming, and problem-solving.

Early tests indicate that GPT-4.5 demonstrates a substantial reduction in AI hallucinations—instances where the model generates incorrect or misleading information. With a 37.1% hallucination rate, it outperforms GPT-4o (61.8%) and the o1 reasoning model (44%). This progress marks a step forward in ensuring more accurate and trustworthy AI-generated responses.

To ensure a smooth rollout, OpenAI is launching GPT-4.5 in phases. ChatGPT Plus and Team users will be the first to access the model next week, followed by Enterprise and Edu users the week after. This staggered release is aimed at optimizing performance while managing demand efficiently.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman described GPT-4.5 as a “giant, expensive model,” highlighting GPU shortages as a key constraint in scaling access. To address these challenges, the company plans to add tens of thousands of GPUs in the coming weeks, further strengthening AI infrastructure to support the growing user base.

In addition to text-based capabilities, GPT-4.5 supports file and image uploads, enhancing its versatility for various applications, including writing and coding projects. However, voice and video functionalities are not yet available, with potential future updates expected to expand its feature set.
With this latest release, OpenAI continues to push the boundaries of AI innovation, refining its models to improve user experience, accuracy, and overall efficiency. As the AI landscape evolves, GPT-4.5 sets a new benchmark for intelligent and adaptable digital assistants.
