Epson, the global technology company, has announced the establishment of a new sales company aimed at serving the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central & West Asia (META-CWA) region. With its headquarters in Dubai, UAE, the regional operations will be led by President Neil Colquhoun, who aims to transform how technology can be utilized by consumers and businesses across the diverse region. Colquhoun emphasizes the vast potential in META-CWA, inspired by the significant growth observed in recent years.
In his statement, Colquhoun highlighted that this expansion represents more than just a business venture; it is about connecting with local needs and delivering technology that empowers individuals and businesses while prioritizing sustainability. He noted that this new structure will enable Epson’s talented on-ground teams to enhance support for local partners, thereby driving continued business growth.
Epson plans to leverage its extensive in-market network to introduce high-quality technology solutions across various categories, including visual display, printing, scanning, lifestyle, and manufacturing. This strategic move will allow the company to provide tailor-made solutions for a growing customer base across multiple sectors such as healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, and tourism, ensuring they meet the unique demands of each industry.
The company has already reported strong double-digit sales growth in the META-CWA region, with education solutions experiencing remarkable growth of over 100% between FY2022 and FY2023. Epson aims to become carbon-negative by 2050, eliminating reliance on limited underground resources while helping consumers reduce their carbon footprint through sustainable technologies.
Epson META-CWA is also committed to establishing an inclusive workplace, with a leadership team comprising eleven nationalities and nearly half of the management positions held by women. This commitment to diversity, female empowerment, and inclusion reflects the organization’s dedication to fostering an environment that promotes both professional and business growth.
Additionally, Epson plans to launch an Epson Graduate Program to attract and champion local talent, further reinforcing its commitment to nurturing future leaders in the region. As Epson embarks on this exciting journey, it remains focused on delivering impactful solutions that cater to local markets while caring for the planet.
