Liquid Intelligent Technologies has officially launched the first Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey. Azure Stack combines the intelligence, security, and scalability of public Azure with Liquid’s managed infrastructure, offering a powerful hybrid cloud solution.
This new Azure Stack hub will enable businesses in Uganda to access cloud solutions that comply with local data regulatory requirements. It represents a major step forward in supporting the Uganda Digital Transformation Roadmap, which aims to connect 90% of Ugandan households to the internet by 2040.
Michael Mukasa, CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda, highlighted the impact of the Azure Stack hub, describing it as a game-changer for local businesses. The hub will provide cost-effective access to local cloud solutions, reduce latency, and enhance the efficiency of running latency-sensitive business applications.
This deployment marks the fifth Azure Stack installation by Liquid in Africa, underscoring the company’s expertise in driving digital transformation. The introduction of Azure Stack is set to benefit both large enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Uganda, offering flexible adoption models to accelerate cloud adoption.
