Georgina Mukami Odhiambo has been appointed as the new Head of IT Retail Banking at NCBA. With over 15 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, Georgina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. Her journey in the banking industry has been marked by significant achievements and contributions to various institutions.
Georgina’s tenure at the National Bank of Kenya spanned nearly 11 years, where she held several key positions. As the Head of ICT Channels Operations, she was responsible for operations management, business analysis, and project management. In her role as Head Enterprise Services, Georgina ensured the delivery of ICT services to internal customers, enforcing service level agreements and adhering to software lifecycles and contractual obligations.
Her role as Head Frontline Channels in the ICT Division further demonstrated her leadership capabilities. She guided and mentored the Frontline Channel Support team, ensuring the smooth running of the department and maintaining quality targets. Georgina also served as the Support Manager for Corporate Banking Channels, coordinating support for corporate channels, including internet banking and SWIFT for both local and international payments.
Georgina’s earlier experience at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya as an E-Channels Supervisor Officer involved analyzing and implementing E-Banking business requirements. She supervised the administration and support of all E-channels business, including internet and mobile banking, and monitored the performance of e-channels systems to maintain agreed service delivery levels.
Her diverse roles and accomplishments highlight her capability in managing and enhancing IT and banking systems, making her a valuable asset to NCBA. As Head of IT Retail Banking, Georgina will be instrumental in driving the bank’s digital transformation and enhancing customer experiences through innovative IT solutions.
