Zoho has partnered with She Code Africa in Nigeria to advance the skills of female tech professionals through its low-code app creation platform, Zoho Creator. This collaboration aims to empower 30 female trainers from She Code Africa Academy with comprehensive training in building enterprise-grade applications using low-code technologies.
The initiative will feature a three-day ‘Train the Trainer’ workshop held at Zoho’s Lagos office, where the trainers will gain expertise to further educate She Code Africa students in application development. This upskilling effort is part of Zoho’s ‘Young Creators Program,’ which focuses on equipping future business leaders with advanced digital skills and fostering technology-driven innovation.
Participants in the program will benefit from one year of free access to the Zoho Creator platform and receive complete training materials to support their learning. Kehinde O, Country Head of Zoho Nigeria, emphasized Zoho’s commitment to local community support through upskilling and empowering businesses with technology, aligning with the company’s transnational localism strategy.
Maryblessing Okolie, Community Manager at She Code Africa, highlighted the program’s potential to expose trainers to the latest advancements in low-code technology, enhancing their ability to impart this knowledge to other students. This collaboration underscores Zoho’s ongoing expansion efforts across Africa, as the company seeks to build a stronger presence on the continent.
Zoho’s recent achievements include reaching over 100 million users, making it the first bootstrapped SaaS business to hit this milestone. The company’s growth strategy includes establishing offices across various African countries and hiring locally for customer-facing roles.
With Africa emerging as a rapidly growing region for Zoho, the company is set to continue its expansion while focusing on the development of innovative tools such as the Ulaa web browser. This strategic approach aligns with Zoho’s goal of becoming a dominant player in the tech industry.
